Sealing Recommendations

Oyster Grey is a dense shell stone that must be sealed with a high-quality water-based sealer to penetrate the stone and close its pores, preventing staining and mold or mildew growth.

To preserve the light grey color, the stone must be sealed when dry. One of the unique characteristics of Oyster Grey is that it can also be "enhanced" using a marble and stone enhancer sealer, which brings out the underlying chocolate and brown tones — a completely different and dramatic look.

Architectural Applications

Oyster Grey can be fabricated into a wide variety of architectural elements including fireplaces, columns, window and door surrounds and more. Its contemporary grey tones make it a natural fit for modern and transitional architectural styles.

Available in large slab format (2cm, 3cm, 4cm brushed), it is also an excellent choice for countertops, feature walls, and exterior cladding in contemporary projects.
