Sealing Recommendations

Laguna Shellstone is a dense material that seals well and maintains its appearance for many years with proper care. A high-quality penetrating impregnating sealer will protect the stone from staining, mold and mildew in exterior applications.

For exterior flooring, pool decks and patios, we recommend Dry Treat Premium Impregnating Sealer. For vertical wall cladding and exterior facade applications, use Dry Treat 40SK for superior long-term protection.

Architectural Applications

Laguna Shellstone's refined shell pattern makes it a versatile choice for both interior and exterior architectural applications. Its smaller, more subtle shell inclusions create a sophisticated look that complements contemporary and transitional design styles.

The stone is particularly popular for interior fireplaces, columns, window and door surrounds, and entry features. In exterior applications it performs well as pool surrounds, patio flooring, exterior cladding, and landscape elements.
